Many of the top hits of the last decades were composed at the piano, and many popular rock and pop groups employ keyboard instruments such as acoustic piano, electric piano and synthesizers into their sound, if not completely based on keyboard.

A few examples of groups that use piano and keyboards extensively include Steely Dan, Supertramp, The Beatles, Bee Gees, Billy Joel, Roxy Music, Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Doors, David Bowie, and many more.

We have specialized teachers for rock/pop piano, as well as a teaching method that uses graphic notation to accelerate learning. Topics covered include chords, comping styles, soloing (blues/pentatonic scales and patterns), and repertoire. Performance opportunities with groups is also offered.
